My white shark image on the cover of Bay Nature

This article “Beyond Jaws” focuses on new discoveries in science as a result of work the Monterey Bay Aquarium is doing along with the TOPP program.  Those of you who know me, know that I have worked for TOPP in the past documenting scientists deploying and recovering tags off of elephant seals and leatherback turtles.  Check out their SITE to see more about what they do and the tags they use to track the transoceanic migration patterns of white sharks and lots of other cool pelagic species.

If you’re a local (of Monterey, CA), John O’Sullivan from the Monterey Bay Aquarium will be speaking at the MPUP annual award banquet tomorrow night.  Click HERE for more details.  John oversees the live animal collections and manages the White Shark Research and Exhibit Program.  Should be a good talk!
